(ARTICLES) DARK of the MOON in NOVEMBER

Dark of the Moon in November is November 3 and this is because it is when the Moon reaches minimum brightness.

There’s a Dark of the Moon every month but the one in November is the most powerful to bring about the most powerful time. A time to prepare for the new beginning that begins with the Crescent Moon to come.

The Dark of the the Moon or Dead Moon has no solar reflection leaving the lunar face in darkness, dark lasts 3 days before the new Crescent appears.

Darkness hides things from us, 1 thing we hide away is our sense and practical use of our own Magickal being.

It’s a time to:

give thanks

begin a project

kicking bad habits

become engaged

start medical treatment

put ideas in motion

get your “your moneys  worth”

binding spells

exploring angers and passion

Growth at this time is underground, hidden, but most powerful because it is the root, the base, time to gain timeless wisdom, a time to reflect, rest and preparation for the new beginning… Spring!

On 3 November there will be Rituals and Ceremonies, according to your Path. I myself don’t do all that, for me I enjoy a much simpler Path.

Here is my Dark of the Moon Midnight  Meditation:

1 Black Candle lite at Midnight 3 November

create a scared place, clean, comfortable and pleasing, remove distractions, tv, cell, laptop

breathe in the calmness

send your energy outward

take deep breaths, close eyes

as you breath deeply think about your desire, your wish, the reason

feel that desire in your thoughts, in your breath

do this for as long as you need

eyes shut, deep breaths, concentrate on desire, quiet, at peace

than open eyes fully to the here and now

I find it enlightening to write down the wisdom of your meditation, what you saw, felt, draw pictures

afterwards eat and drink

your Black Candle must burn itself out

each Candle can only be used for the purpose it was lite for, never blow out the Candle to use it for another day or spell.

Moon goes around Earth 27 days, 7 hours, 43 minutes on an average
